The Wilson 2012 Campaign, dedicated to the belief that our dysfunctional republic can be fixed democratically, offers a platform that targets the systemic causes that have led us to the current economic, political, and cultural malaise. The platform includes:

• The creation of a national free marketplace of ideas (FMI) -- an internet based government accountability system -- a public forum that enables constituents to communicate directly with their public servants and watch and share live and archived video of public servants in the their acts of public service (such as meeting with lobbyists, or in other unclassified meetings that concern the public interest). • Support for a constitutional amendment to end that odious machinery of court activism -- corporate personhood and the money-speech equivalency -- that has taken power away from people and delivered control to non-human entities. Details>>
• Support for an emergency national clean energy program with two major components that will end our reliance on fossil fuels in no more time than it will take to cycle through the current fleet of gas-powered cars:
  1. The freeing of the electric grid so that anybody can sell clean energy into the grid
  2. Subsidies to individuals and businesses that finance the purchase of solar panels (from US companies) and pay back the subsidies with monthly payments of no more than what would otherwise have gone to the fossil fuel energy companies.
• The entire Wilson presidency, with a few exceptions, will be streamed live on the internet. The exceptions will be meetings that need to be classified for national security reasons, and the rare negotiations that secrecy would benefit -- but not before first attempting a public negotiation. The Wilson 2012 Campaign platform, though premised entirely on the conservative values that government should limit itself to establishing justice and security does not fit neatly into th binary concept of left-right politics. It is a practical program based, not on dogma, but on the logic of justice, a belief in the essential goodness and intelligence of well-informed people, and an understanding of the need to prepare for the challenges and changes coming our way as a result of powerful new technologies and environmental change.
